What’s Brewing

Tea has this charming way of bringing people together, turning simple moments into meaningful experiences, where stories unfold, ideas grow, and somehow, everything feels just a little more connected.

The Shared Cup Initiative

What has everyone been up to these days? With everything going on in this world, we thought perhaps it’s time to slow things down just a little. And what better way than with Tea? Not just a quick cup, but something a bit more thoughtful, a bit more curious, and dare I say… slightly more fun than usual. This isn’t about being experts or getting everything perfectly right. It’s about showing up, being present, and enjoying the moment, ideally with a rather lovely cup in hand.

Now imagine this… not just a tea table, but an entire tea city. Pu’er, where tea is its name. From misty mountains and ancient tea trees to quiet indoor tastings and open-air experiences surrounded by nature, this is where the journey truly begins. The Shared Cup Initiative brings you into this world, combining indoor and outdoor experiences so you can see, feel, and understand tea in its natural environment. It’s not just about tasting tea, it’s about stepping into its story, from leaf to cup and everything in between.

Invitation from Pu’er – Where Tea Lives

Now, we’re not doing this just anywhere. We’re in Pu’er, a proper tea city where tea isn’t just something you drink, it’s something you live. From ancient tea trees to misty hills, from indoor tastings to outdoor experiences, this is where tea begins and continues to evolve. You’ll find yourself moving between spaces, sometimes inside with carefully prepared teaware, sometimes outside surrounded by nature, quietly realising… oh, this is where it all makes sense.

All we’re really saying is this… come and experience tea where it truly belongs. Whether indoors or outdoors, in quiet moments or shared conversations, this is a space to explore, learn, and enjoy tea in a way that feels natural and unforced. No pressure, no pretence, just good tea, good people, and a setting that makes everything feel a little more meaningful.

Some activities may be recorded for sharing and educational purposes, so do keep that in mind. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d absolutely love to have you join us.

The programme runs for 15 day, and you’re free to step in and out as you wish. Upon completing the full programme (and not slipping away halfway for a cheeky tea break, stepping out of the initiative), you will be awarded certification as a Tea Art Master, officially recognised by an authorised government body.

It’s not just Tea (we promise)

Now let’s be honest, tea is never just tea, is it? It’s culture, creativity, memory, and occasionally a bit of therapy in a cup. Through the Shared Cup Initiative, we explore tea as a cultural, creative, and experiential medium. You don’t just drink it, you understand it, shape it, and eventually share it. Somewhere between the first sip and the last pour, things become… unexpectedly meaningful.

...shared cup initiative...

Now we’re getting into the really interesting part where things become a little more personal, a little more creative, and dare I say… slightly addictive.

Pillar 1: From Leaf to Cup – The Full Experience

We start at the beginning, where tea actually grows. You’ll walk through tea gardens and plantation observe harvesting, take part in processing, and then return indoors to taste what you’ve just experienced. It’s hands-on, slightly eye-opening, and occasionally makes you question everything you thought you knew about tea. And honestly, once you’ve seen the journey from leaf to cup, it’s very difficult to go back to drinking tea without thinking… “ahh, I know what you’ve been through.”

In Pu’er, you won’t just hear about tea, you’ll walk through it. From visiting tea gardens and observing harvesting, to hands-on processing and indoor / outdoor tasting sessions, this pillar takes you through the complete journey of tea. You’ll move between outdoor exploration and indoor learning, connecting what you see in nature with what you taste in your cup. And somewhere along the way, it all starts to make sense, how a simple leaf becomes something quite extraordinary.

Pillar 2: Becoming Tea Art Master (well… almost)

Now that you’ve seen tea, it’s time to understand it. We move into something a bit more refined. You’ll learn how to brew properly, taste thoughtfully, and perhaps even present tea with a touch of elegance. No pressure to become the ultimate master overnight (we’re all still learning), but you might find yourself pouring tea a little more confidently, understanding flavours a little more clearly, and looking just slightly more impressive at the table. And should you complete the full programme without slipping away halfway, you may even earn official certification as a Tea Art Master… not bad at all.

In this pillar, we bring things indoors with guided sessions led by experienced and qualified tea masters. You’ll learn brewing techniques, tasting methods, and the finer details that transform tea from something casual into something quite refined. Of course, we keep things relaxed. No pressure to perform, just a chance to develop confidence, understand flavour, and perhaps pour tea in a way that feels just a little more intentional (and slightly impressive, if we’re honest).

Pillar 3: Becoming China – The Art of Teaware

Because tea is not complete without its vessel… for something creative, this pillar brings you into the world of Chinese ceramic teaware, where clay, fire, and tradition meet. You’ll explore iconic styles like ceramic, porcelain, and perhaps even create your own piece. There’s something quietly satisfying about shaping a teapot and later drinking from it. It’s a full-circle moment, and one that feels both personal and cultural at the same time.

This experience blends indoor craftsmanship with cultural exploration. You’ll discover traditional Chinese ceramic teaware, from well-known porcelain styles to the art of clay teapots, and even try creating your own. There’s something quietly satisfying about shaping clay and later using it to serve tea. It connects you to the process in a way that feels both personal and cultural, a proper “I made this… and now I’m drinking from it” moment.

Pillar 4: Creating your own Tea Ritual

This is where things become yours. We’ve explored traditions, observed ceremonies, and perhaps admired how different cultures approach tea with such grace. But here’s the fun part… you don’t have to follow any of them exactly. This pillar invites you to create your owntea ritual, one that reflects your lifestyle, your culture, your rhythm, and even your mood (because let’s be honest, that changes daily).

Whether it’s a quiet morning cup, an evening wind-down, or a slightly dramatic weekend tea setup, it all counts. You’ll experiment with space, timing, gestures, and atmosphere, and before you know it, you’ve created something that feels natural and meaningful. It’s not about being traditional or perfect. It’s about being intentional. And somewhere between the first pour and the last sip, you’ll realise… this is your way of doing tea, and it fits rather nicely.

This pillar explores creating your own tea ritual, shaped by your culture, your region, and your personal style. Because tea is never one-size-fits-all, and your way of enjoying it should feel just right for you.

Somewhere between the leaf, the vessel, and the conversation, tea quietly becomes more than a drink, it becomes a shared moment, gently reminding us to slow down. Together, let's experience, create, and share.

Pillar 5: Creating your Own Tea Product Line

And now… we take it one step further. Because at some point, you might think, “what if I created something of my own?” And the answer is… yes, you absolutely can. This pillar is where your tea journey turns into something tangible. From selecting tea styles, exploring flavour profiles, and developing blends, to designing packaging and shaping your brand story, it all comes together here.

You’ll learn how to present your tea not just as a product, but as an experience. Something that carries meaning, identity, and a bit of your personality (in a refined way, of course). And if you’re feeling particularly bold, there’s the opportunity to share or even sell your tea online, or through the Order of Tea platform. From leaf… to brand… to world. Not bad at all, I must say.

This pillar brings things full circle, where you develop your own tea product line, from idea to identity. Whether you choose to sell online or share it through the Order of Tea platform, this is where your tea journey becomes something you can offer to the world

Pillar 6: Sharing the Cup – Teacast

And finally… we bring it all together. Whether indoors in a cosy setting or outdoors under open skies, this pillar is about sharing. Through teacast (podcast-style conversations), storytelling, and you explore how tea becomes part of your voice and your way of connecting with others. It’s relaxed, sometimes reflective, and occasionally quite lively. One moment you’re simply chatting, and the next you’re part of a meaningful exchange… all over a cup of tea. Pu’er has a way of doing that.

This pillar is all about Teacast, where you don’t just talk about tea, you create your own space for it. From sharing thoughts and stories to building your own tea-focused podcast platform, it’s your voice, your cup, your conversation.

...your cup awaits, and so do we...
